Swedish Modern Floor Lamp in Brass, 1940s
€5.000
Swedish Modern Floor Lamp in Brass and Wood, Sweden, 1940s Swedish floor lamp from the 1940s, made in brass and dark wood, with three individually adjustable arms and pleated fabric shades. The three brass arms can be swivelled independently, allowing the light to be directed in different directions. This makes the lamp particularly useful beside a sofa or a larger seating area, where several light sources can be positioned as needed. The construction consists of three slender brass arms supported by dark wooden rods, rising from a circular brass base. The combination of materials is typical of Swedish lighting from the period, with the dark wood providing a contrast to the brass. The arrangement of the three arms gives the lamp an interesting appearance, particularly when they are positioned at different angles. Despite its three light sources, the construction remains relatively light and open. The brass has developed a natural patina over the years, which has been preserved. The pleated fabric shades are newly made and complement the original materials. Very good vintage condition with minor signs of age and use. The shades are newly made. Wiring: All our lamps are wired for EU standards. Unfortunately, we have neither the means nor the qualifications to wire them for US standards.
