Swedish Modern Uplight Floor Lamp in Brass by ASEA

€3.500

Swedish Modern Brass Uplight Floor Lamp by ASEA, 1940s Swedish floor lamp manufactured by ASEA in the 1940s, with a slender brass stem, circular base and wide, bowl-shaped shade. The lamp directs the light upwards towards the ceiling, providing indirect illumination. Its construction is simple, with few decorative details, and the proportions give it an understated appearance. The brass has developed a natural patina over the years, with variations in colour that give the surface character. We have chosen to preserve this rather than polish the lamp to a uniform finish. A good example of Swedish lighting from the 1940s, when brass was frequently used for both its decorative qualities and its durability. Very good vintage condition with minor signs of age and use. The brass retains its natural patina. Wiring: All our lamps are wired for EU standards. Unfortunately, we have neither the means nor the qualifications to wire them for US standards.
