Very Rare Floor Lamp by Orrefors in Teak, Copper and Opaline Glass
€6.000
Rare Floor Lamp in Teak, Copper and Opaline Glass by Orrefors, Sweden, 1960s Unusual Swedish floor lamp produced by Orrefors in the 1960s, combining teak, copper and frosted opaline glass. The lamp has a tall, slender teak stem with copper fittings and a white opaline glass shade. The different materials provide a pleasing contrast, with the warm tones of the wood and copper set against the pale glass. The shade conceals the light source and produces a soft, diffused light. Its rounded form contrasts with the straight lines of the stem, giving the lamp a simple but distinctive appearance. The teak has developed a warm colour over time, while the copper shows a natural patina. These original surfaces have been preserved. Very good vintage condition with minor signs of age and use. The original opaline glass shade is in very good condition. Wiring: All our lamps are wired for EU standards. Unfortunately, we have neither the means nor the qualifications to wire them for US standards.
