Pair of Swedish Modern Uplight Floor Lamps in Brass, 1940s
€3.500
Pair of Swedish Modern Uplight Floor Lamps in Brass by HW Armatur, Sweden, 1940s The lamps have slender brass stems rising from heavy, brass-covered iron bases. Their height can be adjusted, making them practical for different settings. The upward-facing shades direct the light towards the ceiling, providing indirect illumination. Their simple construction and narrow proportions make them suitable for placing beside a sofa or in a corner without taking up much floor space. The lamps come directly from the original owners' home and have remained together since the 1940s. As a result, they have developed a similar patina, which is particularly nice to find in a matching pair of this age. Good original vintage condition with signs of age and use. Both lamps have a matching natural patina, and there are a few cracks in the brass covering the bases, as shown in the photographs. The lamps come with new handmade chintz fabric shades. Wiring: All our lamps are wired for EU standards. Unfortunately, we have neither the means nor the qualifications to wire them for US standards.

Condition
Good. Wear consistent with age and use. This is an original pair, coming straight from the first owners’ home, meaning that they show the same amount of patina. There are a few cracks on the brass on the bases, shown in pictures. The lamps come with new hand-made chintz fabric shades.
