Swedish Modern Floor Lamp

€2.500

Swedish Modern Floor Lamp Attributed to ASEA, Sweden, 1950s Made from lacquered metal with brass and teak details, the lamp combines a practical construction with a restrained use of materials. The wood and brass provide small contrasts to the painted metal, giving the design more character without unnecessary decoration. The combination of materials is typical of Swedish lighting from the period, when manufacturers often incorporated wooden details into otherwise metal constructions. Here, the teak adds warmth to the design while the brass fittings provide a subtle decorative element. The lamp has been re-lacquered and is fitted with a new hand-pleated fabric shade. Good vintage condition with signs of age and use. The metal parts have been re-lacquered, and the shade is newly made. Wiring: All our lamps are wired for EU standards. Unfortunately, we have neither the means nor the qualifications to wire them for US standards.
