Swedish Art Deco Floor Lamp
€3.500
Swedish Art Deco Floor Lamp in Teak, Brass and Hemp, 1930s Swedish Art Deco floor lamp from the 1930s, made with a teak base, brass fittings and a curved arm wrapped in hemp rope. The combination of materials gives the lamp an unusual character, with the textured rope contrasting against the smooth wood and metal. The curved arm is adjustable, allowing the light to be positioned at different angles. A polished brass joint connects the arm to the base, while brass fittings at the ends provide small decorative details. The hemp wrapping is a particularly interesting feature. It follows the curve of the arm and gives the lamp a more informal appearance than many of the brass floor lamps produced during the same period. The lamp is fitted with new pleated shades made from off-white silk fabric, which work well with the natural tones of the teak and hemp. Very good vintage condition with minor signs of age and use. The pleated silk shades are newly made. Wiring: All our lamps are wired for EU standards. Unfortunately, we have neither the means nor the qualifications to wire them for US standards.
