Large Outdoor Wall Lamp by Gunnar Asplund for ASEA, Sweden, 1930s Rare and impressive outdoor wall lamp designed by renowned Swedish architect Gunnar Asplund and manufactured by ASEA in the 1930s. The lamp features a substantial metal construction with a broad, gently curved shade and a protective glass enclosure surrounding the light source. The design is distinctly architectural, with clean lines and carefully considered proportions giving the lamp a strong yet understated presence. Its generous scale makes it particularly striking when mounted on a façade or entrance. A beautiful and increasingly rare example of Swedish architectural lighting from the interwar period, equally suitable for its original purpose as an exterior fixture or as a sculptural wall light in a contemporary interior. Good vintage condition with signs of age and use consistent with its original outdoor purpose. The surface displays patina, marks and wear developed over time, adding to the lamp's authentic character. Condition: Very good original condition, one minor dent on the shade.
