Swedish Modern Coffee Table in Birch, Glass and Rattan by Bodafors, Sweden, 1940s. Elegant Swedish Modern coffee or side table produced by Bodafors in the 1940s. The table combines a beautifully crafted birch frame with its original glass tabletop and a woven rattan magazine shelf below, bringing together three materials in a particularly light and harmonious composition. The glass top is decorated with delicate etched ornaments, adding a subtle decorative element to the otherwise restrained design. Beneath it, the rattan shelf introduces warmth and texture while providing practical storage for books and magazines. The softly curved birch frame and tapered legs give the table an elegant, airy silhouette. The combination of fine craftsmanship, natural materials and understated ornamentation is characteristic of Swedish Modern furniture of the 1940s.
