Swedish Brass Table Lamp, 1950s
€4.500
Very rare sculptural Swedish table lamp in brass, dating to the 1950s. The design is distinguished by its decorative column, wrapped with stylised leaf-like elements that create a rhythmic, almost organic vertical movement. This expressive detail contrasts beautifully with the otherwise restrained and balanced form. The lamp is topped with a wide, pleated shade paired with an opaline diffuser, producing a soft, even light while gently illuminating the structure beneath. The combination gives the lamp a warm and atmospheric presence. The shade is not original to the lamp but is a period-appropriate replacement from the same era, carefully chosen to complement the design. The brass shows a rich, natural patina with visible variations and wear, particularly to the base, adding depth and character consistent with age. Wiring: All our lamps are wired for EU standards. Unfortunately, we have neither the means nor the qualifications to wire them for US standards.
Condition
Good vintage condition with age-related wear and patina to the brass. The shade is a later addition, but it's from the same period.
