Table lamp in brass and bakelite by Nordiska Kompaniet, Sweden, 1930s
€3.000
Elegant Swedish Grace table lamp executed in brass and bakelite, produced by Nordiska Kompaniet in the 1930s. The design is defined by its fluted bakelite column, creating a strong vertical rhythm, balanced by the softly domed brass shade and finely turned details. The composition reflects the restrained classicism of the Swedish Grace period — refined, symmetrical, and quietly decorative. The stepped base and subtle transitions between materials give the lamp a sense of proportion and architectural clarity. The brass shows natural patina and age-related wear, adding depth and character. The bakelite column remains well preserved. There is a visible crack in the masonite element, as shown in the images, as well as some paint loss to the underside of the shade. Wiring: All our lamps are wired for EU standards. Unfortunately, we have neither the means nor the qualifications to wire them for US standards.
