Two sleek and sophisticated sideboards, crafted by the renowned designer Alf Svensson and produced by the esteemed Bjästa Möbelfabrik of Sweden, gracefully adorn this piece from the 1960s. Boasting a design of refined simplicity, each sideboard is composed of a pair of doors, elegantly adorned with panels of woven rattan and lined with shelves of polished birch. Despite the passage of time, these sideboards remain in a condition of remarkable preservation, with only a few subtle dents on the top marring their otherwise impeccable appearance. ALF SVENSSON Alf Svensson was a highly respected designer who was known for his minimalist, yet functional designs. His work was heavily influenced by the Scandinavian design movement, characterised by clean lines, natural materials, and a focus on functionality. Svensson's designs were highly sought after and were manufactured by some of the most prominent furniture factories in Sweden. He was known for his use of natural materials, such as wood and rattan and his designs were timeless, many of his pieces are still in production today and are highly collectable.
